Having moved from the city to the suburbs, the client really wanted to maximize space while achieving a modern look in the kitchen and mudroom remodel. Storage and accessibility were important for this family with young children. A wall was moved so now when you enter the home, you have a space to put down your things and hang your coat in the closet or on a hook. You naturally flow into the renovated kitchen, which opens to the dining area. A coffee station, bar refrigerator and drawers are on the backside of the mudroom wall. In keeping with the farmhouse chic look, sliding barn doors for the laundry room complement the kitchen cabinets for a cohesive look.
