Bath Renovation in Historic Home, Lincoln

This bathroom remodel project transformed an outdated and poorly laid out half bath, closet and vestibule into a comfortable, modern ¾ bathroom. The look now seamlessly blends classic looks with subtle modern touches while balancing the family’s need for aging in place while respecting its place within a beautiful 200 year old historic home. The original house dates back to 1817, and this bathroom is located where an addition built in the 1900’s intersected with the original footprint. The various framing methods made it very difficult to create a flat, level and plumb surfaces for the new finishes while avoiding the beams to run code compliant plumbing drains was no simple exercise.
