The bathroom remodel goal of this 1890 Lincoln home was to better utilize space and modernize it. Storage was difficult and unattractive with the deep, narrow cubbies. The client desired more countertop space. By removing a bank of cubbies, we expanded the shower footprint and built a bench to age in place. We overcame a structural challenge in another cubby bank where the vanity was. Still needing a linen closet, we shrank a deep bedroom closet and created one on the opposite side. Towels and linens are are conveniently located across from the bathroom. The final result of this bathroom remodel is a bright, elegant and functional bathroom.
